It’s here and it’s a real thing. Dinosaur Erotica. Some of us out there find the idea of dinosaurs having their way with young, hapless women ridiculous. Some of us find it hilarious. Others disgusting and disturbing. And then there is (what we would assume is the minority) those who find the idea of prehistoric predators touching women in their special places exciting and erotic.

Fortunately, (or unfortunately, depending on which of the above categories you fall into) Texas students Alara Branwen and Christie Sims have teamed up to write five Dinorotic masterpieces and they’re all available on the kindle store. (Alara and Christie are actually the authors’ pen names – As I sit on the train drafting this article, I’m a concerned someone might look over my shoulder and think I’m a weirdo, so I don’t blame them for wanting to conceal their identity!)

If this is the first you’ve heard about Dinosaur Erotica, you’d be damned right lying if you said you weren’t a little bit curious about what it actually looks like. Well, they were curious over at Jezebel.com too, so they shared the following excerpt from “In the Velociraptor’s Nest”

“Azog stood, back to the wall, clad only in damp buckskins, waiting for the beast to slash at her torso until she lay helpless and bleeding on the damp cave floor. She wondered if it would kill her first, or if her limbs would be sliced from her body as the beast gorged on her.

Instead, it reached out with a classed hand to snatch at her damp animal hide as it clung to one shoulder. Azog felt the kiss of sharp claws against her skin as the hide slid from her shoulder and exposed on naked, heaving breast. The raptor paused, curious, sniffing at her as she pressed desperately against the wall.

A reptilian tongue, stiff and hot, dashed out to lick at the tender, naked flesh so suddenly exposed. Azog gasped at the touch, then gradually relaxed as her body warmed to the intoxicating sensation of the beast’s flesh against her own.

She wasn’t sure if her sudden arousal was because of her earlier thwarted climax in the cool stream, or if she was just desperate for one last pleasant sensation before being torn limb from limb by the great, scaly beast. Either way, Azog relished the rasp of its tongue, hot and rough, on her sensitive skin.”

If Velociraptors aren’t you’re thing, don’t worry. You still have Taken by the PterodactylRunning from the RaptorTaken at the Dinosaur Museum and Taken by the T-Rex to choose from. I wonder how many men are going to be confused by this fusion of their boyhood love of Dinosaurs and their adulthood love of sex..

What does this mean for future of romance literature? I’m sure there are many out there who have been hoping for a long time that something would come along and knock vampire romance off your book shelves, TV and movie screens, but I don’t think anyone would have predicted Dinosaur Erotica was the genre that would do it. It might just be crazy enough to make a dent.

So what do you think of this fledging new genre? Is it too creepy and weird? Are you reserving your judgement until you’ve actually read the books? If you have read the books, would you care to give us a review? Are you brave enough to share some of your own Dinorotic fantasies? Maybe you’ve got an idea for a great Dinosaur Erotic book title.

I’ll start – Katherine and the Stego-sore-ass.

On second thoughts, that sounds like a low budget Dinosaur porno.. Let’s not go there.

I thought I was alone. This site paves the way for introverts like me.

Veloci-rape-tor would be an excellent title.
